Karen Bemis
Chair
Karen retired as Membership Director for the Newfound Lake Region Association and has long served Bristol through the Friends of the Library and other committees. A founding organizer of the Bristol Democratic Committee, she’s passionate about fair representation. Outside of civic work, Karen enjoys gardening, time on the water, and playing with her grandson.
Rosemary D’Arcy
Vice Chair
Since moving to Bristol in 2010, Rosemary has chaired both the Newfound Lake Region Association and the Minot-Sleeper Library Board. She helped launch the Bristol Democratic Committee and continues to advocate for causes close to her heart.
Daniel “Buz” Kenney
Secretary
Buz is a retired corporate attorney and founding member of the Bristol Democratic Committee. He serves on the Town Budget Committee and volunteers widely. He enjoys outdoor adventures, reading, and time with his three grandchildren.
Paul Bemis
Treasurer
Paul is a lifelong New Hampshire native and founding member of the Bristol Democratic Committee. With a background in product design and leadership roles at HP and ANSYS, he now leads Applied Math Modeling and Air Cleaners Inc. He brings expertise in energy, technology, and community planning.
Janet Metcalf
Member at Large
Janet is a retired union machinist with expertise in wastewater system maintenance. She lives in Bristol with her husband and two dogs, and volunteers on several town committees. She brings hands-on experience and a strong community spirit to the team.
